How to use your bad habits to lose weight

Losing weight and getting more fit, healthy and active is all about your habits. What if you could leverage your BAD habits to help you see success (wait what?)

We all fall into habits.

Some good, for example:

Brushing your teeth, drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning, walking during your lunch break.

Some bad, for example,

Hitting the snooze button, listening to the negative news all day, not exercising.

Now if you want to change how you feel, say you want more energy, confidence, and strength, you’ll need to adapt some new habits.

Which can be hard.

Especially on your own.

Now the reason the clients I work with get some awesome results is simple.

I hold them accountable to the new habits required to get the results they want.

Now, depending on the client and their desired results, these new habits will vary.

But, the one thing that is the same for each is the new habit we need to make the change, will come RIGHT BEFORE or RIGHT AFTER a previous habit.

It’s a concept called habit stacking.

If you want to implement a new habit, something positive, add it in right before or after one of your normal behaviors.

Add 25 squats BEFORE you shower.

Drink two glasses of water BEFORE you eat dinner.

Walk for 15 minutes BEFORE you watch an episode on Netflix.

You get the idea.

Do this consistently and you’ll have a new habit that can and will change how you feel.
